Challenge #5 - Kerri's layout

Challenge 5 was all about chocolate, and we had to follow a recipe and use certain things on our layout.
This is what I came up with (I have a b-day theme going I think!)

Challenge #4 - our ATCs

This was seemingly an easy challenge, we had to make two ATC's (artist trading cards) one to honour out ADSR partner, and one about someone/thing we love.
The only real requirement was the size of the cards, so off we went...and here is what we came up with

Back soon with Challenge 5, which is very yummy!

Challenge #3 - Leigh's Layout - Burn

This layout was partially inspired by Kerri's layout. When I saw that she had done her layout with her boys in their firemen's costume, it inspired me to scrap one of the pictures I had taken of our Local Volunteer Fire Department at a Training and Live Burn they held. It was an awesome experience and I hope to be able to take more pictures for the Department again. This layout is titled Burn....

Challenge #4 has been done and we are moving on to Challenge #5 already. This year the race seems to be moving so much faster for some reason, not sure if that is good or bad....LOL. I think Kerri will be back sometime tomorrow with our Challenge #5 post. Until next time....

Blessings to you all!!!

Challenge 3 - Kerri's layout

this one was fun too! We had to do some selective colouring, use a date element and journal 20 words or more, and highlight some of the journalling.

Challenge #2 - Leigh's Layout - 5 Things

Wow, we are struggling with keeping up posting this time around. But I promise we haven't forgotten altogether. I struggled a bit with this layout, I had all the pictures picked out right after the Challenge came out. Since my focus in the last few months has changed, First and foremost my Family is NUMBER 1 in my life. After some REALLY stressful months for some reasons that I won't say here I had to make some huge descisions about my life. God has opened and closed many doors in the last few months for me and I have learned SO MUCH from it all. I am so truly BLESSED by it all. I have a new found Love for Life, a new found Love for GOD, a new found LOVE for my Husband and my kids and I am slowly working my way back to loving digital scrapbooking again. I knew it wouldn't take long, but what I LOVE the most right now is NO PRESSURE!! Yes I know that we are participating in the ADSR right now but I have to say that this is not pressure to me. Yes I struggled, I struggled with which kit I really wanted to buy to make this layout just right. But I love the kit I got because I'm going to be able to use it for so many more layouts!! Ok, so I know I've written a book at this point so if you made it this far....without further ado....I give you.....5 Things

And now since I have posted this, Kerri can come back in the morning and post her Challenge #3 Layout. Then, if I can remember I will be back tomorrow with my Challenge #3 layout since I am DONE with it also....Woo Hoo!! I will let Kerri post her's first since mine was actually partially inspired by hers. Thank you to all who come and visit our little ole blog here, we luv you all and appreciate your support and kind words. Until next time....
Blessings to you all!!!

Challenge #2 - Kerri's layout

Oops, I should have posted this at the weekend, I admit I forgot.

I LOVED this challenge, even more so, because I did a layout that I really, really like which I would never have even thought to make if it hadn't been for ADSR.
So the requirements were:
Scrap about 5 things you love about...
5 fonts or alphas in the title
5 pictures and one has to have the number 5 in it
5 of the same element but in different variations

And here is my layout which meets all requirementsCredits:

Challenge 1 - Leigh's Layout - My Baby Steps.

First of all I have to tell you that Kerri was oh so patient with me this year as about a week before ADSR was set to start I had a major.....well I will say I was ready to give up scrapbooking for a WHILE. I have left all of my Creative Teams and given up all my activities in the scrapbooking world. It was all causing me so much stress that I was having headaches weekly, and crying at least once a week. My DH was so understanding about it all, and above all SOOOO supportive. He knew that underneath all the stress I truly loved scrapbooking and that I just had to get back to that. To the fun of it, and through all of this Kerri has been such a blessing and a friend. Much more to me which is how I came to the name of the layout I made. I lifted her layout PS I Love You which I absolutely LOVE, especially the picture!! You can see it below...

And so now I begin to take my Baby Steps back to scrapbooking.....for enjoyment, for my family, for my friends, for me and for what it is truly supposed to be about. No longer will I be burned out by trying so hard for others. And so I give you....More Than A Friend....dedicated to the friend who is helping me to discover myself in scrapbooking again, and someone who will forever be More than just my Friend...she will always be my Sister in my heart....I Love You Kerri!! Thank you

Ok, so it's on to Challenge #2, have the pic's and theme picked out...now on to getting a kit. Kerri is done....she's a fast one that girl so be watching for her post soon. Until next time......

Blessings to you all!!!

Season 5!! - Challenge 1 - Kerri's layout

Woohoo! I think we could honestly say that we have been waiting for this ever since Season 4 finished!

It's so exciting to be racing again! I love the challenges and fun we have doing it together. And the skype lines have been busy again today, Leigh was still up when the first challenge went live and by the time I got to the computer had just about finished her layout - only sleep got in the way of her posting here first!
I spent most of the day working out my layout in my head - but let me tell you the challenge rules.
We have to introduce our partner, and our layout must be lifted from one of theirs from a gallery of our choice.
Well I chose to lift this awesome layout of Leigh's - Silly Monster!

And this is what I came up with
